Andre Pierre, the late Haitian master, signed this 20"x24" original painting titled "St Jacque Ogoun Achadé", the spirit of power, protection and the military in red and blue with a sword and signed it in the lower right corner. The painting is in good condition and belongs to a private collector in Caracas Venezuela, where it will be shipped from. Our art gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.

About this artist

Haitian master painter Andre Pierre was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 1914 and died in 2005. He is considered one of Haiti's most significant artists and the pre-eminent painter of the Haitian spirits, the worthy successor of noted Hector Hyppolite. His artworks have been reproduced in many books on naive and religious art. He injects rhythms into his works through lines and colors, says Gerald Alexis in his book Peintres Haitiens.
