The late famous Haitian master Claude Dambreville painted this beautiful, vibrant 35.50"x47.50" market scene and signed it on the lower left corner. The artwork is sold unframed. This particular piece was carefully chosen by Gerald Alexis, the internationally well-acclaimed art critic and author of many Haitian art books, to be part of the stunning Foundation Marie & Georges S Nader's collection. About this artist

Claude Dambreville was born in Port-au-Prince on December 17, 1934, and died on March 15, 2021. He studied accounting and worked for months as a trainee at the “ Haiti Journal” newspaper. He was also the director of a broadcasting station “ Radio Tropiques” for ten years. He is an author of over 100 tales and short stories and a humorous writer. He studied drawing and painting at the School ABC in Paris, at the Art Center, and with his father-in-law, the late Haitian artist Pétion Savain. He has exhibited internationally. "Dambreville's work is essentially based on the play of shadow and light" (Peintres Haitiens by Gerald Alexis).
