Jean Adrien Seide 48"x72" Village, Mountains & Trees 2022 Acrylic on Canvas Painting #7JAS-NY
Haitian well-known contemporary landscape painter Jean Seide Seide painted this unique and beautiful huge 48"x72" acrylic on canvas, depicting a village's landscape view from far with mountains and trees. It is sold unstretched and unframed.
Self-taught Haitian artist Jean-Adrien Seide was born in Cayes on November 18, 1956. He moved to Venezuela when his father passed away. He paints highly structured landscapes, with a series of fields spreading out towards a distant horizon.
Jean Adrien Seide's themes derive from the River of Artibonite, the mountains of Jacmel, and the cascades from the famous Saut Mathurin or Peligre in Haiti. At first glance, his paintings look representational, but a more detailed examination leads to a fascination, and the fantastic element predominates over the immediate reality.
His art has been shown in several countries, including the United States, Venezuela, Spain, Salvador, Canada, Haiti, and France. Seide is well-known among art collectors all around the globe, who like his simple landscapes.
"Horizontal lines evoking fields cross the vertical lines of trees to create a coherent landscape." (Peintres Haitiens by Gérald Alexis)
