This original oil on canvas painting, representing a daily life scene in Haiti, was signed by the Haitian-born self-taught artist Damien Paul. It is an original 24"x16" vintage oil on canvas painting.

Paul Damien was born on October 16, 1941, in Drouillard in the plain de Cul-de-Sac. After primary school, he went to the Art Center, where he began to do iron sculptures in 1969. Later he began to paint primitives. He now specializes in the fields of ironworks. (Haiti Voodoo Kingdom to Modern Riviera, pp. 123)
