Paul Thanis was born in St-Marc, Haiti on June 19, 1947. He began drawing at a very young age being endowed with talent. He was helped by Louisnes Mentor. Thanks to Mentor, he exhibited his first painting at the patriarchal Georges S. Nader's Art Gallery. As with Remy Surpris, his principal subject is jungle, and his favorite colors are green and yellow. He is fully appreciated by the art lovers who consider his talent.
