Description

This is a beautiful long 48"x6" painting of red roosters in a jungle scene, signed and painted by the famous Haitian artist Paul Nemours. "Based on precise drawings, forms mingle on a single support before being filled with colors," says Gerald Alexis in his book Peintres Haitiens.

About this artist

Paul Nemours was born in Saint-Marc, Haiti, on May 31, 1946. He took design courses from the A.B.C School in France. His colors show the strength of his feelings. His black backgrounds with green plants partially hiding animals, the "Nemours Style," are followed by many other painters. Many world-known collectors have acquired his paintings.
