Description

Interior with Yellow Flowers by Marie José Nadal is an intimate acrylic on paper that captures the quiet poetry of everyday domestic space. An open doorway, a simple wooden chair, and a vase of vibrant yellow flowers create a contemplative composition filled with light, atmosphere, and subtle emotion. Known for her expressive use of color and sensitivity to place, Nadal transforms an ordinary interior into a deeply personal meditation on memory and presence. Broad passages of blue, white, and earth tones establish a harmonious balance between abstraction and observation, while the open doorway invites the viewer beyond the immediate scene. Created in 2012, this work exemplifies Nadal's ability to distill complex emotions through simplicity and painterly expression. The result is a refined and evocative composition that reflects the artist's distinctive contribution to contemporary Haitian art. This artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
