Paul Tanis, the renowned Haitian primitive artist, painted this vintage 48"x24" vibrant, detailed village scene and signed it on the lower left corner. The artwork is sold unframed. This particular piece was carefully selected by Gerald Alexis, the internationally well-acclaimed art critic and author of many Haitian art books, to be part of the stunning Foundation Marie & Georges S Nader's collection. About this artist

Paul Tanis was born in St-Marc, Haiti, on June 19, 1947. He began drawing at a very young age, being endowed with talent. He was helped by Louines Mentor. Thanks to Mentor, he exhibited his first painting at the Nader's Art Gallery. As with Surpris, his principal subject is jungle, and his favorite colors are green and yellow.
