This stunning crayon drawing, measuring 9" x 17", captures a lady resting in vivid detail. Created in 1979, it is signed in the lower right corner by the renowned Luce Turnier, one of the most celebrated Haitian women artists. The piece is sold unframed and comes from the esteemed collection of the Foundation Marie & Georges S. Nader. Luce Tunier was born in Jacmel in 1924 and passed away in Paris in 1995. She was among the first female artists who joined the Centre d'Art in the 1940's.
