Well-known Haitian painter Raymond Dorleans was born in Haiti in 1947 and died in Martinique in 2000. His first art exhibit was in 1973, and dark blue-green landscapes with bright figures characterize his paintings. His art is represented in many private art collections worldwide, cited in many Haitian art books, sold at Sotheby's.and shown at Musee des Beaux-Arts d'Orleans in France.
