A stunning naive painting signed by the late and well-known Haitian artist Prospere Pierre Louis from the Saint Soleil School. This painting represents a voodoo scene of Erzulie with twins. It is an original oil on wood signed on the bottom center and dated 1990, framed in size 29"x25". It belongs to a private collector in NY who bought it from Mr. Fred H Lambrou, Artists Gallery in Greenport, NY, twenty-thirty years ago.

Prospere Pierre Louis was born in 1947 in Jacmel; he died in 1997. He belonged to the Saint Soleil school. His art is internationally appreciated, and his references are in all major books about Haitian art. In his art book Peintres Haitiens, Gerald Alexis describes the artist as "an elder of the Saint-Soleil Movement, Pierre Louis was among the first to attempt this fascinating experience."
