Fritz Charles was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1940. He studied painting with Pierre Edugene. In 1968 he participated in an exhibit organized by the Centre d'Art. His art is cited in the book Haiti Voodoo Kingdom To Modern Riviera, 1980, pp58.
