Jacksin Mesidor was born on June 8, 1941, in Cap-Haitian. He did his primary studies at the school Felix Box and pursued his secondary studies at the Philippe Lyceum and the school Foyer D'Etudes. He studied drawing and painting under the well-known artist Philomé Obin. In 1973, he started painting seriously. Yellow and red predominate in his works.
