The Visitation by Anick Langelier is a vivid acrylic on canvas filled with angelic figures, symbolic gestures, and spiritual tension. Known for her visionary contemporary paintings, Langelier creates emotionally charged scenes where faith, mystery, vulnerability, and psychological narrative intersect. In this work, expressive figures gather within an intimate interior, surrounded by angels, a bed, a window, and dreamlike details that suggest revelation, protection, and inner conflict. The bold color palette and flattened perspective give the painting a powerful folk-symbolist and visionary quality.
