About this artist
Alix Roy was born in 1930 in Port-au-Prince and died in 2010. He studied at the Art Students' League. He was a master painter from the Centre d'Art. "A humorist, illustrator, and painter, Roy observed the world of adults with irony and through children's eyes" (Peintres Haitiens by Gérald Alexis). Sadly, Alix Roy was killed during the devastating Haiti earthquake in 2010.
