It is painted by the late humorist Haitian master Alix Roy, who was born in 1930 in Port-au-Prince and died in 2010. Roy studied at the Art Students' League. He was a master painter from the Centre d'Art. "A humorist, illustrator and painter, Roy observed the world of adults with irony and through children's eyes" (Peintres Haitiens by Gerald Alexis)
