Description

Tropical Birds in the Forest is an original painting by Haitian artist Jacques Geslin. The composition showcases three brilliantly colored tropical birds nestled within dense Caribbean foliage, where vibrant greens, blues, and warm earth tones create a richly layered jungle environment. Combining meticulous botanical detail with striking wildlife imagery, Geslin celebrates the remarkable biodiversity and natural beauty of Haiti.Recognized for his finely detailed landscapes and wildlife compositions, Jacques Geslin creates immersive scenes that blend realism with decorative elegance. His carefully balanced use of color, texture, and pattern draws the viewer into a tranquil tropical setting filled with movement and life. This original painting is an outstanding example of Geslin's refined craftsmanship and is an excellent addition to collections of Haitian art, Caribbean wildlife painting, and tropical botanical art. The artwork comes from a private collection in Seattle, Washington, and will be shipped directly from the collection to the purchaser. A Certificate of Authenticity issued by Myriam Nader Haitian Art Gallery accompanies the purchase.

About this artist

Geslin paints our birds and domestic animals and takes care to respect the delicacy of our plants as he renders them with originality surpassing that of nature. In short, he has created a Haitian forest drawn from his imagination. From 1978 to 1985, he exhibited chiefly in the United States, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and France. Today, Jacques Geslin’s work is well acclaimed among private international art collectors and showcased in Haiti, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, France, and Japan.

In his book entitled “Peintres Haitiens”, the author and art critic Gerald Alexis states, “ Conforming to the tradition touching upon the depictions of paradise, Geslin excludes all human presence from his works.” Get the Book Now!
