About this artist
Edner Jean studied painting at an early age under the instruction of Philome Obin at the Cap Haitian School. He mostly paints countryside scenes and cotton harvests. As a farmer himself, he feels connected to the earth and the resilience of field workers. His art is published in the books: "Kunst aus Haiti" by Ute Stebich, and "Artistes en Haiti, Cent Parmi d'Autres" by Michele Grandjean.
