Henri-Robert Bresil was born in Gonaives, Haiti, on September 19, 1952, and died in April 1999. He started to paint in 1973 as a world-renowned painter. After receiving the Ispan-Unesco prize in 1981, he exhibited in all the major galleries in Haiti and abroad in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Japan, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Art lovers and collectors appreciate Bresil's art and have been praised in the New York Times, Miami Herald, and Hostess Magazine, among other publications.
