Description
This captivating painting by Préféte Duffaut features an imaginative cityscape woven across a network of winding paths, elevated walkways, and circular worlds suspended within a dreamlike landscape. Duffaut’s visionary compositions are celebrated for their labyrinthine structures, symbolic micro-cities, and spiritual sense of ascent. In this work, brightly colored houses encircle serene blue waters while tiny figures travel through spiraling roads that connect one floating enclave to another, creating a harmonious universe rich with meaning and narrative rhythm. The artist’s meticulous detail, radiant palette, and signature structural complexity exemplify his renowned “Ville Imaginaire” style. This painting comes from the private collection of Georges S. Nader in New York and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Myriam Nader Haitian Art Gallery.
