This piece belongs to a private collector in Florida and is sold framed and in good condition. It is signed and dated in the lower right corner. The date is under the frame.

About this artist

Gesner Armand (1936-2008) was a Haitian painter. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Armand studied in Haiti and France and was a member of the Centre d'Art. He was the Director of the Museum of Haitian Art at St. Pierre's College. His paintings, typically depicting peasant life, carnivals, or pigeons, have been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, France, Spain, Jamaica, Martinique, Venezuela, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, and Israel.
