Description

This early Cubist Female Nude Study captures Roland Dorcely's exploration of the female form through fractured, geometric planes, a hallmark of his modernist period. Rendered in confident pencil linework, the composition breaks the figure into interlocking segments while retaining a strong sense of movement and presence. Signed and dated by the artist, this piece comes from a private collector in Miami and includes a certificate of authenticity. The drawing is in good condition, with minor foxing and a small 2mm hole consistent with its age, and offers collectors an intimate look at Dorcely's process during a formative stage of his career.
