Description
This original 1981 vintage painting by Haitian master Claude Dambreville (1934–2021) captures the grace and quiet dignity of Haitian life through his signature modernist style. Portrait of a Haitian Woman in Blue presents a serene female figure rendered with Dambreville’s hallmark use of geometry, light, and tonal harmony. The artist’s refined simplicity and balance of color embody the essence of Caribbean elegance. Dambreville’s work celebrates everyday Haitian scenes with sophistication and emotional depth, making him one of Haiti’s most collected and internationally recognized painters. His paintings are included in major private and public collections worldwide and are sought after for their timeless aesthetic and cultural authenticity. The artwork will be sold unframed dorm a private collection. Our gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.
