Jacksin Mesidor was born in Cap-Haitian on June 8, 1941. He did his primary studies at Felix Box and pursued his secondary studies at the Philippe Lyceum and Foyer D'Etudes. He studied drawing and painting under the well-known artist Philomé Obin. In 1973, he started painting seriously. Yellow and red predominate in his works.
