Haitian artist Hilome Jose has created a vibrant, original acrylic painting measuring 24"x16". This artwork displays tall figures and is in excellent condition, featuring the artist’s signature in the lower right corner. It is being sold unframed and comes from a private collection in Virginia, from which it will be shipped. Our gallery will provide a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.

Haitian artist Hilome Joseph was born in April 1947 in Jérémie. He moved to Port-au-Prince in the late 1960s, where he initially worked as a carpenter. Through a mutual friend, he met the renowned Haitian master Calixe Henry, who inspired his passion for painting. Under Henry's mentorship, Jose learned to paint with a knife, developing a distinctive style that sets both artists apart in the art world.
