This original 30"x 24" oil on canvas painting, dated circa 1980, was signed by the late renowned Haitian artist Emmanuel Dostaly. It depicts a Haitian rural landscape scene with a village and people.

About this artist

Emmanuel Dostaly was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on March 25, 1947, and passed away in 2022. He studied art at the Academie des Beaux-Arts and is known for his landscapes and daily life scenes. He co-authored the book Haitian Artists in America with three other Haitian artists: Patrice Piard, Shubert Denis, and Patrick Wah.
