Felix Jean, the late and known Haitian primitive artist, painted this original 20"x16" painting circa 1970. It represents a vibrant and colorful street Rara scene in Haiti. The art is in good condition, belongs to a private collector in North Carolina, USA, and shipped from there.

About this artist

Felix Jean was born in Anse-a-Vau, Haiti, in 1929 and died in 1978. He started at the Centre d'Art in 1950 and studied under Pierre Monosiet. He participated in all major exhibitions of the Centre D'Artagnan Europe, the U.S., and South America. His work was featured on Barbancourt Rhum labels over the years. His subject is often colorful markets filled with people with heavily outlined leaves or foliage.
