Lamarre Sanon (younger brother of Roosevelt Sanon) was born on August 2, 1954, in Jacmel. After Moya College in Jacmel, he began to paint in 1973. His teacher was Marcsene Montprimier, and he follows the primitive style. Red, yellow, and green are his favorite colors. (Haiti Voodoo Kingdom Riviera by John Allen Franciscus, 1980)
